bathroom built-ins

I've been wanting to put some shelving in my bathroom niches for a while now. Above are some of the images that have been inspiring me to go ahead and get some bids.

My bathroom

I think I should be able to pull off some white floating shelves.

I think shelves will make a big difference and add some pops of color in my bathroom. My husband I wanted a spa feel when we were picking out our options. I love the marble against the glass tiles. This is one of my favorite spots in our house.

Enjoy the weekend!

Jordyn's Room

Trying to figure out how to decorate your kids room is stressful! Right now my sister in law and I are trying to put together my daughters room. It's taken a lot of emails and online searching, but I think we've started getting the general idea and color scheme.

pics from Ohdeedoh

This Brooke Rug rug from Madeline Weinrib  in hot pink is a must for her room.

Plus I've always been in love with these poufs from Serena and Lily.

I love the idea of a book shelf. This one is too cute. Although I can totally see Tyson climbing all over it.

Can't wait to get this project started... and finished!

Sheryl's home...

I was browsing pinterst this morning looking from room ideas for my 4 year olds bedroom and came across this spread in Architectural Digest. Sheryl Crows home is so charming. I had to share.

Enjoy.

Inspiration

So I have loved this picture for quite some time. I think I had it in my files before I moved but forgot about it, and now I wished I had remembered it prior to doing our backsplash.

this is my kitchen

Don't get me wrong I love my backsplash( and my kitchen), however, sometimes I do wish I would have picked some color instead of going all white with the subway tiles. It was the safer choice and my thinking was that no matter what I decided to do with the kitchen the backsplash would always match.

Disclaimer; Since this picture was taken I have painted the green fruit holder to white, and moved the glass jars to the butler pantry. Also don't look over to the right, I would love to change out the chairs one day and maybe even change the table to a light grey.

In the mean time, this is my uhhh-maz-ing kitchen, I am so lucky to have it!

As for mimicking my "inspiration"picture, I think the main thing that will make a big impact is getting the hanging lights. The rest will take time, and $$$.  So it's going to be a while.

What do you think?

Boy Room

Right now I am trying to get together the over all look of my sons room before I buy anything. At the moment we have the bed and that's about it. The bed is the one above from Restoration Hardware.

I'm thinking about getting this duvet cover from West Elm. I am loving the bold stripes mixed with the smaller ticking. I think it will look great.

However, I also dye over this bedding every time I see it. So I am having a hard time deciding on which one to choose.

My little man loves sports, so I think these displays would be a great addition to his wall.

Right now his entire room is painted a very light grey. I would like to change the color in there, but before that I would love to do something like this. I love the white wood panels with the high contrast paint color.

and to tie it all together I can't forget about my favorite poster. I got this for a baby shower gift before my son was born and I will always cherish it. I think Tyson loves it too because his name is on it. I framed it with an Ikea wood frame. It's huge and it makes a nice statement in the room. Check out the other prints from this lovely lady. I ADORE all her prints at made by girl.

So when I pull this room together I will post some more pictures. Right now we are in the beginning stages, but I think I'm starting to finalize the main accents. Now if I could only just focus on this room and nothing else.
